Data analysis from 2017 to 2021 shows that there were more than 47,000 deaths at intersections in the United States. When it comes to Colorado, where do our intersections rank in terms of danger?
The state of Colorado made the top 10 list for most dangerous intersections by state with 31.03 percent of deaths related to vehicles in the analyzed time frame. While Colorado did not make it on to the top five list, number six is all the more reason to pay attention while at an intersection.

- Minnesota - 31.99 percent of crash deaths occurred at intersections
- New Jersey - 32.61 percent of crash deaths occurred at intersections
- New York - 34.06 percent of crash deaths occurred at intersections
- Florida - 35.11 percent of crash deaths occurred at intersections
The safest state for intersections belongs to our neighbors to the north. Wyoming had the fewest crash deaths at interestions at only 52 deaths with an overall death total on the roads of 618.
