Are Coloradans Educated? One Very Surprising Fact
Education is very important for many of us here in Colorado. How much do Coloradans value their education compared to other states? Is our education system working well in Colorado? Are students receiving high-quality education? Here is what brand new data from WalletHub says.
Colorado's Education: A Leader in the Nation
New data from WalletHub shows that Colorado is the fourth most educated state in the entire country.
Looking closer at the data, Colorado has the 2nd highest rank for educational attainment.
This means that, on average, our population has a higher percentage of residents with higher education than others.

For example, Colorado has the second-highest percentage of residents that have a bachelor's degree. Colorado also happens to be the first in the nation for residents who have at least some college education under their belt.
One Surprings Factor: Colorado's Colleges
Colorado does have an amazing education system. However, we are extremely surprised about how low our state ranked when it came to university quality.
Despite having great K-12 schools, Colorado does not have high-quality universities. WalletHub says that Colorado has the second-to-last average university quality in the nation.
Colorado School of Mines is the only college in Colorado that broke the top 100 last year.
Colorado's average university ranking was the only major negative statistic about our education due to the data.
We here in Colorado have more college experience than in other states. This is great. However, the education we are receiving could raise some questions.
