The Colorado Eagles announced last night (Jan. 21) during their game against the Iowa Wild that Eagles legend Ryan Bach will serve as their new team president and alternate governor.

Bach played for the Eagles in their inaugural season in the net as the not just the first goaltender for the Eagles, but the first Eagles player to ever set skates on the ice for the team.

Bach started his career playing a total of eight seasons of professional hockey with both the Detroit Red Wings and the Los Angeles Kings. Following his professional career, he stayed with the Eagles and joined the coaching staff in 2006-07.

In a release from the Colorado Eagles announcing the appointing of Bach to president, they quote CEO and Eagles owner Martin Lind solidifying confidence in the change, saying:

Ryan has been nothing short of a champion in every venture he takes on and I expect nothing short of that excellence in this new role.

The Eagles will finish out their homestead against the Iowa Wild tonight (Jan. 22) at 7:05 p.m.
