Drunk driving is still a major issue in Colorado. In Colorado, drunk driving is a blood alcohol concentration of 0.8. According to Forbes, last year, there were 397 DUI arrests in the state, and over 31 percent of traffic deaths in Colorado were caused by drunk driving.

Colorado Counties With the Highest DUI Rates

Pueblo County Ranks Among the Nation’s Worst for DUI Fatalities

Pueblo County was ranked the 21st county with the most DUI fatalities. We were shocked to see Garfield County ranked as high as it was.

Anidjar & Levine say that Garfield County is tied for first with another city as the county with the most DUI fatalities.

38 percent of fatal crashes are caused by impaired drivers. A total of 59 drivers were involved in fatal crashes last year.
