A child swimming at Cherry Creek Reservoir went submerged under water. on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called and they found the child in the water.

Witnesses say the child was under water for about 10 minutes when paramedics were able to revive the child using CPR.

South Metro Fire spokesman Connor Wist told Denver 7 that the six-year-old was unable to breathe on their own after being pulled from the water.

The child was transported to Children's Hospital. The condition is unknown at this time.
