Colorado Buffaloes Football Gets Massive Reality Check Before Season
College football is just a few weeks away in Colorado. Last season was filled with a lot of drama between Colorado and Colorado State. Each team made national headlines and each time had an entirely different personality.
I am a Colorado State fan. However, I love watching the Colorado Buffaloes as well. I am ecstatic about this year's Rocky Mountain Showdown and how it will be in Fort Collins this season.
College football is obsessed with the Colorado Buffaloes again. Will they be better than their 4-8 record last season?
Colorado Buffaloes Believe in Themselves
We love to see a confident football team, but there comes a time when confidence blinds reality. A month ago, Shedeur Sanders said that they will be ever opponents Super Bowl next season.
Shedeur is a second-year Quarterback for the Buffaloes, a projected first-round NFL draft pick for next season, and the son of Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders.
The second-year Quarterback has a point: every team will have national attention when they play the Buffaloes.
However, just because you receive attention, it does not mean you will be the best team in football. Experts are not buying into the Buffaloes hype as much as last season.
Experts Weigh In on Colorado Buffaloes
College football teams are ranked based on votes for the AP. The top 25 teams are ranked throughout the season.
The votes are in and the Colorado Buffaloes did not make the top 25. In fact, the team only had one vote for the top 25.
Of course, this is preseason and all rankings are updated throughout the season. However, it may be indicated that although there will be media attention like last season, we might expect a similar record to last year's season.
