Larimer County Sheriff’s Deputies Release Bear from Car
There are many things that scream "Colorado," like elk wandering into Estes Park businesses or the random moose making his way down the canyon.

But here's another one to add to the list: a bear breaks into a car and gets locked inside, forcing the Larimer County Sheriff's Office to have to figure out a way to release it.
Deputies responded to a call that a bear somehow had broken into a car and not only was in there trashing it, but somehow figured out a way to close the door behind him, locking himself inside.
In a somewhat comical display, deputies refer to the bear inside as an angry "Yogi" while they try to figure out exactly how to let the bear out from a safe distance, with one deputy suggesting they tie a string to a door handle so they can pull it open from a safe distance away.

I imagine it might have been fun to ride along on this call. You check out the video below, with a few NSFW words.
As I always like to say, all's well that ends well. And in this case, the bear was freed and the deputies and car owner were safe. The car? Not so much.
But as one deputy pointed out... maybe that damage will just buff out?

Serves as a good reminder for all of us to make sure out vehicles are always locked when we leave them. Sometimes for bad guys looking to steal stuff, sometimes for good bears just looking for their next snack.
