
Colorado Fourth of July Crashes Leave Multiple Dead
The Fourth of July in Colorado brings celebrations, fireworks, barbeques, and sadly, tragedies. Summer in Colorado can be a dangerous time to be on the roads, no matter what part of the state you are in.
According to KDVR, multiple deadly crashes happened during the Independence Day Weekend, and the Colorado Department of Transportation is calling these deaths preventable tragedies.

There were so many incidents that CDOT and the Colorado State Patrol put out a bulletin to remind drivers to put safety first when they are behind the wheel. These weekend crashes included a motorist being struck on Interstate 25 while changing a tire, a crash that ended up in flames on Interstate 70 that involved a semi-truck, in Delta County, a pedestrian was struck on US Highway 50, and a bicyclist was killed on US Highway 40.
More Fatalities Expected to Be Reported
These are not the only crashes that occurred in Colorado over the Fourth of July weekend. The Colorado Department of Transportation is expecting to get notices of other fatal crashes in the coming days.

We witnessed multiple fatalities statewide, including two cowardly hit-and-run crashes at opposite ends of the state. We are imploring every passenger to have the courage to speak up when you see dangerous driving. Your intervention can be the difference between life and death—for yourself, for the driver, and for everyone else on the road.
