Colorado, Would You Go to a Grown-Up Chuck E. Cheese?
Chuck E. Cheese: A Childhood Favorite for Colorado Kids
For the past five decades, generations of kids were able to chow down on some pizza and play games at one iconic location: Chuck E. Cheese.
Growing up, the place where "a kid could be a kid" was THE hot spot to have a birthday party. Your friends could run around and win big on arcade games while listening for the animatronic mascots to start their show.
While I never actually hosted a party at Chuck E. Cheese, all of the cool kids in my school did.

What Happened to Chuck E. Cheese?
If you've ever wanted to relive the cheese scented magic of Charles Entertainment Cheese's fun zone as an adult, you actually can!
CEC Entertainment, the group behind the Chuck E. Cheese brand is giving a fresh spin to the decades old entertainment brand.
Chuck E. Cheese Filed for Bankruptcy in 2020
The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June of 2020 and put the blame on the pandemic for affecting their business, according to reports. Just a few months after this, CEC reportedly completed its financial restructuring AND smashed $705 million in debt.
Now, they are setting their sights on a rebranding.
Chuck's Arcade: The New Adult Version of Chuck E. Cheese
Chuck E. Cheese just launched an adult version of their iconic "eatertainment" spot.
According to reports, officials are trying to go down the nostalgia route and launch a new arcade called 'Chuck's Arcade.'
What Is Chuck’s Arcade?
This new brand's website says that they will have all the "latest games, plus a few classic games you love."
"It's where the classics meet the new-school players."
As of right now, there are currently ten scattered across the country.
Where Are Chuck's Arcade Locations? Are There Any In Colorado?
They are located in:
- Buford, Georgia
- Tulsa, Oklahoma
- St. Petersburg, Florida
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Victor, New York
- El Paso, Texas
- Salem, New Hampshire
- Kansas City, Missouri
- Nashua New Hampshire
The company's website also details that a location in Brea, California is also in the works.
Will Colorado Get a Chuck's Arcade?
While there aren't any Colorado locations just yet, the Centennial State would be a great place to host a few of these adult entertainment fun zones.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for one to open up in Fort Collins or even Greeley.
We'll keep you updated on whether one of these franchise locations opens up in our neck of the woods.
