
Deadly Chicken Recall in Colorado Affects Target, Walmart and More
Another product recall is underway in Colorado, and it is incredibly concerning. While most recalls are linked to a specific product or two, this recall is unique in that it affects many products in a variety of popular stores in Colorado.
Chicken Recall in Colorado
The USDA has issued an official recall on many chicken products. The chicken company responsible for inedible chicken is BrucePac.
BrucePac supplies chicken for a wide variety of products that are sold to many different stores. Gizmodo says that over 10 million pounds of chicken have been recalled.
Why Chicken Sold in Colorado Is Recalled
The chicken is being recalled due to a listeria outbreak. A routine test confirmed that the bacteria was found.

Listeria is a foodborne illness that can cause a serious infection. Symptoms are fever, muscle aches, stomach issues, and more.

The USDA says that the recall is a high-class one issue meaning that it is incredibly dangerous.
What We Recommend You Do
You should immediately check your fridge and see if any of the chicken there is a product of BrucePac. The affected products were made between May 31 and October 8.
Each product will also have a label saying P-51205 under the USDA logo.
The USDA has also released a full list of the products that are included in the recall. To avoid any confusion, they have a guide with all of the labels of recalled products.
We recommend trying to identify the products first with the label, then double checking with the guide provided by the USDA.
