Celebrate CAM the Ram’s Birthday at CSU
CAM the Ram is celebrating his birthday - and you're invited!
CAM, the 25th in the long line of Colorado State University rams, is celebrating his birthday and the anniversary that the university adopted a Rambouillet sheep as its mascot at the CSU Recreation Center, 951 Meridian Avenue from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 6.
The event, which is open to the public and free to attend, will include activity tables, demonstrations from CSU club sports teams, face painting, birthday cards for CAM, goodie bags, prizes, cupcakes, access to the rock climbing wall, and photos with CAM.
CSU asks anyone planning to attend to RSVP online by Tuesday, February 2.
CAM #25 took over mascot duties after the death of CAM #24. His first public appearance was at the Rocky Mountain Showdown in Denver.
Colorado State University's first mascot, a Rambouillet sheep named Buck, debuted at a basketball game versus Denver University after Colorado Agricultural College (now CSU) voted to call themselves the Rams in 1945.
