This summer, according to AdAge, Budweiser may change its name to just "America."

Anheuser-Busch InBev, Budweiser's parent company, has put in a request to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau for permission to use labeling that replaces "Budweiser" with "America." A few other phrases Americana that Budweiser proposes for use are E Pluribus Unum (Latin for "One out of Many" and can be found on our currency), "from the redwood forest to the Gulf stream waters this land was made for you and me," and "indivisible since 1776." Next thing you know they will want to stick a picture of Aaron Burr on the can.

Officials for Anheuser-Busch InBev and Budweiser have yet to comment about the potential rebranding for summer, but AdAge does take notice and say that the strong patriotic marketing makes sense this year with it being a heavily contested election year and Budweiser being the official beer sponsor of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
