On June 8, 2025, the iconic Breakfast Inn located at 6135 East Evans Avenue will serve its last stacks of pancakes to hungry patrons. The announcement of the closure of the Breakfast Inn came via Instagram by the owner, David Frieder.

It comes with great sadness to share with the community that the Breakfast Inn will be closing permanently on June 8th at 2 p.m. After a year of fighting the good fight, our lease was not renewed, and the property has been sold.

The Breakfast Inn not only has been popular among Coloradans for 50 years for its food, but also for its model train. Many guests of the Breakfast Inn would try to get a table in the east dining wing to catch a glimpse of the train making the loop around the entire room.
