Here’s How to Get Free “NATURAL” Garden Fertilizer in Colorado
Soon enough, you will be gearing up to plant your garden here in Colorado. If you want to keep your vegetable garden healthy and want to do it naturally, there is a way to do just that for free.
It's going to take a bit of labor, and it's not all that glamorous, but you can get all of your fertilizer needs from some patties made by one Colorado animal.

The inaugural event is being organized by the Denver Mountain Parks Foundation and will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Genesee Park. What is the event? We're glad you asked.
Colorado's Bison Pies For Gardening Event
Gear up with your shovel, a bucket, and of course, gloves, to pick up your own supply of natural fertilizer made by none other than the iconic bison. In case you haven't figured it out yet, you'll be picking up bison poop.

According to Westword, the bison pies should be plentiful and more than enough for everyone. As you can imagine, bison eat a lot, which means they also poop a lot too. About three gallons worth of feces a day, to be exact.
If you would like to collect a supply of natural fertilizer, you can venture up to the Bison Pies for Gardening Event. To get there, you will head to the Genesee Park North Bison Enclosure. You will not have to worry about being trampled by a herd of bison, as they will not be in the pasture for the event.

If you do end up going to the Bison Pies for Gardening event, I highly suggest you bring an extra pair of clothes. You probably don't want to drive back up to Northern Colorado smelling like a byproduct of what the bison ate.
