Berthoud residents young and old can learn all about safety this Saturday, June 18, from various agencies in the area.

The 2nd Annual Berthoud Safety Fair is set for 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Grace Place parking lot at 275 Meadowlark Drive and will feature demonstrations and exhibits from the following agencies:

  • Larimer County Sheriff's Office - SWAT, Bomb Squad, and K9
  • Berthoud Fire Protection District - fire trucks and car seat installation/checks
  • Larimer County Natural Resources - Boating and hiking safety
  • Larimer Humane Society - Disaster Animal Response Rescue Team
  • Larimer County Safe Kids - Helmet fittings
  • Berthoud Bicycle - Bicycle safety checks
  • AirLink - Medical helicopter scheduled to land at 11 a.m. (if available)
  • Colorado State Patrol - Dangers of distracted driving
  • Burlington Northern Santa Fe - Railroad safety
  • Larimer County Health and Environment - Sun, food, wild animal, and mosquito safety
  • Safe Routes to Schools - Bicycle safety
  • Berthoud Streets Department - Equipment on display
  • Larimer County Search and Rescue - Equipment on display
  • Larimer County Dive Rescue Team 
  • Poudre Valley REA - Electricity safety
  • Thompson Valley EMS
  • Banner Health

There will also be food vendors on site, though admission to the fair is free. After kids get their bikes and helmets checked/fitted, they can participate in the bike rodeo/obstacle course, too.
