Over the weekend, the staff at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo said goodbye to 13-year old Tahoma, who has lived at the zoo since he was a calf.

After living in pain from an array of chronic illnesses, the team at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo made the call to euthanize their friend Tahoma. He was referred to as a colleague and was known to make a lasting impression on visitors.

Tahoma's "coworkers" say they are grieving his loss, as reported by KKTV.
