Fresh Foods Fort Collins Confirms Closure on October 3rd
The store manager of Fresh Foods Fort Collins (located at 1100 W. Mountain Avenue) confirmed that they had closed on October 3rd, according to reports.
Apparently, notices put up around the store claimed that the closure was initially scheduled for October 17th.
Fort Collins Food Co-Op to Take Over Beavers Market Location
This summer it was announced that the Fort Collins Food Co-Op would be purchasing the location on 1100 W. Mountain Avenue, according to a press release.

Fort Collins Community Leaders Emphasize Preserving Local Heritage
"We're not just acquiring a building — we're preserving a cornerstone of the neighborhood," said Amanda Hofer, Board President.
"Beavers and the Co-op have been gathering places for decades. In a time when so many community spaces are being replaced by high-density housing, it feels vital to protect one that brings people together and keeps essential services accessible right in the heart of our community." ~ Amanda Hofer in a press release.
What Shoppers Can Expect from the New Fort Collins Food Co-Op
“This move is about more than bricks and mortar,” said Wyatt Schwendeman-Curtis, Board Treasurer.
When Will the New Co-Op Open in Fort Collins?
The co-op will be moving their storefront out of its current location at 250 E Mountain in Fort Collins. Currently, this organization is still under contract at the E Mountain location as of October 1st, according to their website.
