Both Banner Health and Weld County emergency officials are now accepting homemade masks and other protective equipment. Banner Health originally opted out of taking the homemade masks, but due to the shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic, the health center has decided to accept homemade personal protective equipment, according to the Greeley Tribune.

Banner Health will accept masks for staff and discharged patients. Masks can be dropped off at three Banner locations: The North Colorado Medical Center at 1801 16th Street in Greeley, McKee Medical Center at 2000 Boise Ave in Loveland, and Banner Fort Collins Medical Center at 4700 Lady Moon Drive.

The Weld County Office of Emergency Management will distribute the homemade gear to first responders and hospitals. The homemade masks and isolation gowns must be unused and meet the requirements of the CDC.
