ANSWER: Are Driverless Cars the Future of Colorado? How Soon?
Do you feel comfortable with autonomous vehicles driving across Colorado cities and towns? In Colorado, driverless vehicles are technically legal as long as a person is in the vehicle.
Some Coloradans are more enthusiastic about autonomous vehicles than others. I met a guy with a Cybertruck at a gas station in Fort Collins. He literally had a crowd of people asking him about the truck. He said that he ordered the vehicle and it drove itself from the dealership to his home. Now, I have to be honest, I think he was lying to us.
Cybertrucks can only be self-driving while supervised. Plus, only a select number of models have that ability.
That man may have been lying to look cool, but his description of purchasing a vehicle may not be too far off from the future here in Colorado.
Autonomous Vehicles and Colorado
Autonomous vehicles are coming whether we like it or not. Some states, like Arizona, have driving services like Uber that are entirely autonomous.
According to research from YouGov, 35 percent of Americans feel at least somewhat enthusiastic about the future of driverless vehicles. However, 70 percent of Americans are at least somewhat worried about driverless vehicles on the roads.

Driverless Vehicles in Colorado: When?
Experts predict that vehicles will start becoming fully autonomous by 2035. Ten years from now. One could assume that semi-autonomous and autonomous with supervision vehicles could be fully normalized before that. In a way, they already are.
I have not seen a driverless vehicle in Colorado quite yet. However, I may have to update this very soon.
