A man was stabbed in his back at a house party in Bellvue early Sunday morning.

Deputies arrived at a residence in the 2800 block of Paradise Park Road in Bellvue shortly after midnight on Sunday with initial information that there were approximately 60 to 70 juveniles partying near this location, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

At 1:02 a.m. they were made aware there had been a fight near the exit of the property and someone had been stabbed. They located a 22-year-old man who was suffering a stab wound to his back; he was taken to an area hospital with serious bodily injury.

Timothy Michael Mayo, 18, was taken into custody for the stabbing following an interview with him and multiple witness accounts. Mayo was booked into Larimer County Jail for first degree assault - a class 3 felony.

This investigation is ongoing with possible additional charges.
