While live shows have been on pause for the most part of this last year, the Colorado Symphony, like pretty much all others in the live music and performing arts industry, is struggling without in-person events. But, an anonymous donation will at least have them taken care of for the next six months, reported by Denver Post's The Know

According to the Colorado Symphony, a substantial $2 million gift 'will allow the Colorado Symphony to continue paying its musicians and staff full salary compensation through the end of the fiscal year ending in June 2021, in addition to healthcare benefits.'

Colorado Symphony said it hopes that this resource will help its staff get by until June, when (hopefully) outdoor shows can resume, and possibly even indoor concerts, when most people have been vaccinated.

Colorado Symphony had some of the few live shows that actually happened in the summer of 2020, because they were able to social distance and perform outdoors at Red Rocks for a crows of 175 people.
