Meet Tikanni: A Stunning Alaskan Malamute

Tikanni is our pet of the week. She is a five-year-old Alaskan Malamute. She is absolutely gorgeous.

She is house-trained as well as crate-trained. Tikanni is leash-trained as well, but she does pull a little bit.

Trained and Smart: Commands Tikanni Knows

Tikanni also had eight months of formal behavior training with her previous owner. Here are the commands she knows.

  • Sit
  • Stay
  • Wait
  • Go
  • Move Forward
  • Back Up
  • Space
  • Laydown

A Playful Dog Who Loves Adventure

You can continue her training with positive reinforcement. Tikanni loves car rides. She also loves to play tug-of-war and soccer.

Her favorite way to play is with a ball. When she is not playing with a ball, she loves to run around and have fun.

Finding the Right Forever Home for Tikanni

Tikanni has a good and positive history with children, but must go to a home that does not have cats. NOCO Humane tells us that Tikanni can be anxious around other dogs and must be the only dog in the household.
