Officials Say Colorado Couple Concealed Lover’s Body While Dogs Chewed Remains
WARNING: THE FOLLOWING STORY IS DISTURBING AND CONTAINS MENTIONS OF POSSIBLE MURDER AND SOME INTIMATE SITUATIONS.
Do you ever hear about a story that seems almost too strange to be true?
This was my reaction over one story that I saw online the other day. It seemed like something ripped straight out of a disturbing episode of 'Law and Order: SVU.'

Colorado Couple Arrested After Shocking Discovery
A Jefferson County couple is currently behind bars due to some startling allegations. According to reports, James David Agnew, 55, and Suzanne Ruth Agnew, 57 have been living with the body of a deceased man for well over a year.
Who Was the Victim in the Colorado Threesome Case?
Police say that the deceased was 64-year-old James O'Neill. These individuals were allegedly in a "long-term, intimate three-way relationship."
Officials Believe Death Was Not a Homicide
Officials believe that the Agnews were not directly involved in his death. Reports claim that O'Neill died in December of 2023 from "natural causes" or something drug related.
Disturbing Details From the Police Investigation
When police arrived at the couple's home to do a welfare check on O'Neill the couple had hidden the body under an air mattress because their chihuahuas had begun "chewing" on his body, according to reports.

Why Did the Couple Keep the Body Hidden?
So, why keep the body for so long?
It is believed that the couple concealed the remains in order to collect O'Neill's social security benefits. The couple allegedly would withdraw their lover's $967 checks monthly totaling around $17,000.
Charges the Colorado Couple Now Faces
The Agnews are currently being charged with tampering with a corpse, abuse of a body, theft, fraud, and additional money-related charges.
