Things I Want To Do In Northern Colorado But Probably Won’t
I need to be more adventurous in my life. Currently, I enjoy being at home and not leaving it. That's it. So I've decided to do more this summer. I'm going to be adventurous from this point forward.
Here's my game plan.
Rollerblading
Sometimes I see other moms in my neighborhood gliding on rollerblades, and while I used to just smile and think 'there's no way in hell', now, I believe I might have spoken too soon. What if rollerblading not only helped me lose weight but also made me feel young again?
And then I remember how costly hospital bills are, and I go back to bed, rotting.
FB Friendship Connections
Sometimes I see people looking for friends on Facebook. They'll post about finding like-minded people with the same values and hobbies. There's no shame in that game. And usually I just smile, think it's weird, and then move on. But maybe just maybe I should go out on a limb and live my life. Maybe I should meet a new friend behind the Dollar Tree in Greeley.
And then I remember Dateline NBC.
Paddle Boarding
Sometimes I see people at Windsor Lake on paddleboards just swooshing around. They look really peaceful, and you can't deny that this activity is also a killer workout. Maybe it would be good for my soul to get out on the water and watch the sunset.
And then I remember I once watched the movie Jaws, and I'm just like, no, thank you.
So I guess what I've decided here is you don't need to be adventurous to be happy.
