A Teacher Tuesday First: Highland Middle School Nurse Recognized in Ault

Teachers aren't the only ones who make a difference in our schools! Nurses like Mrs. Pettit are there to pick kids up when they fall — literally.

Mrs. Pettit at Highland Middle School in Ault was our first school nurse (that I can recall) to receive a Teacher Tuesday surprise. She was nominated by the parent of a student who uses a nebulizer at school, and her attentiveness to students and care for their health is something they wanted to recognize.

Mrs. Pettit received a $50 gift card to Rodizio Grill in Fort Collins, pizza courtesy of Old Chicago, a bouquet from Earl's Flowers and Gifts, and every kid in the class of the student who nominated her got a free game of bowling at Chippers.
