A Denver Hotel is One of Time's World's Greatest Places in 2025

I never really paid much attention to architecture until starting to travel the world a few years ago. Now, I am pretty much fascinated with it. From ancient architecture in Rome, Italy to the organic modern creations of Antoni Gaudi, I love it all.

It is so interesting to see how someone can come up with intricate ideas and make them a reality when creating a building. Colorado has quite a few unique architectural wonders too. The cash register building in downtown Denver has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember. We all can agree that this skyscraper is the most recognizable in Denver's skyline too.

A newly constructed building in downtown Denver has made quite the splash when it comes to standing out. So much, in fact, that Time Magazine has featured the building on the list of the Greatest Places on Earth in 2025.

Only nine hotels made the list of places to stay in North America and the first place on the list is the Denver hotel. Polulus Hotel in Denver opened in October 2024. Since its inception, there has been quite a buzz surrounding this new hotel and its design.

Personally, I think it is stunning and gives off modernist Spanish vibes reminiscent of Antoni Gaudi's works of art in Barcelona. Inspired by nature, the Populus Hotel in Denver resembles the iconic aspen tree. Both inside and out.

Everything About Denver's Populus Hotel is Unique

The Populus Hotel planted 70,000 trees in Gunnison County, Colorado to offset carbon in the atmosphere and the posh hotel also has a "One Night, One Tree" program. This program will plant a tree for every night a guest stays in the Populus Hotel.
