Two men that were found shot on 12th street in Greeley on Friday ended up dying from their wounds.

The shooter is currently unknown, and the Greeley Police said in a press release that they “do not have anyone in custody and currently, there are no charges pending” in the open investigation. Investigators report no motive is clear yet, but witnesses in the area recall hearing a disturbance preceding the shooting, which occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21. Other details surrounding the incident include:

  • One of the adult males was found dead on the scene on the 700 block of 12th Street.
  • The other died early Saturday morning at a local hospital, after life-saving efforts.

Police say, “there is no immediate threat to the community.”
