Colorado's donut scene is always innovative with fun shapes, sizes, and flavors. Yelp recently dropped their list of the best places in the United States to get the absolute best donuts and two Colorado Doughnut shops made the list.

The Best Donuts in Colorado

The two Colorado doughnut shops that have been featured on the best of list on Yelp look like they have some of the best donuts I have ever seen. Coming in at number 70 on the top 100 list is Mr. Donuts in Lone Tree, Colorado.

Mr. Donuts offers a mixed dozen variety pack which would be great to take to the office for your co-workers.

The Colorado doughnut shop that ranked highest on the Yelp list was Sweet Coloradough at 22nd.

Sweet Coloradough is located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and based on the photos, I would have a terribly hard time deciding on just a single donut. Sweet Coloradough will be at the top of my list of places to get a donut from while on a Colorado road trip on the western slopes.
