I get really tired of people going off on other people for their beliefs or likes. How many times a day do you see someone write something about no longer being a fan of someone because they voted for Obama, or don't own a gun or don't drive the kind of car you think they should? I find it insane to think that you only like and support people who feel the same as you. That is such a closed minded way to go through life.

I hear people say they won't listen to certain artists anymore because of they voted for this person or that person. Does that really have an effect on if you like their music or not? Would you still go to your doctor or mechanic if you knew who they voted for or their opinion on foreign policy?

I have learned through the years that it is okay to disagree with people and still like or even love them. My wife and I do not agree on much but have been together for nearly 30 years. Wouldn't it be a boring world if we all agreed on everything? I do not care who you voted for, what your religion is, your views on gun rights or abortion, what you drive or how you like your steak cooked, we can still be friends.

This really hit me the on Monday. I wrecked my truck on the way to work when I hit a deer. I posted pictures from the accident on our website when some idiot went off on me. He said he noticed that the truck I was driving was a Toyota and starting ripping into me and calling me names because I didn't drive a truck that was "American" enough for him. He wasn't concerned that I had totaled my truck or could have been killed but was more interested in calling me a "fake" for riding a Harley and driving a Toyota truck which he claimed made me a hypocrite. What a moron! Open your minds and let all kinds of people in your life. You may be surprised at how much you have in common with people you think you have nothing in common with.
