Windsor Resident Crowned Miss Colorado 2015 [PICTURES]

The Miss Colorado Pageant was held over the weekend a the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver. Kelley Johnson of Windsor was named Miss Colorado 2015. Kelley Will represent our state at the Miss America Competition in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The show will air live on ABC on Sunday, September 13th, 2015.

Kelley's parent's, Gene Haffner and Julie Johnson Haffner, have been friends of ours for over two decades.  My wife and I are extremely proud of her. She is an impressive young lady. I just wish we could have seen her crowned as Miss Colorado. I was busy hosting the Big Buckle Ball for Greeley Stampede.

Kelley was born in Fort Collins. She moved to Windsor at age 7, but graduated from Fossil Ridge High School in Ft Collins. Kelley graduated from Grandview University, in Des Moines Iowa, Summa Cum Laude in April with a nursing degree. She was valedictorian of her nursing class and was captain of the volleyball team, with All Conference honors. Kelley will make a fantastic representative for our state.
