Why Dan Seals 'Bop' Has Such a Special Place in My Heart

There are certain artists and songs that hold a special spot in your heart because they represent a moment in time or provided the soundtrack to a moment that you treasure. Dan Seals is one of those artists for me and 'Bop' is that certain song for me.

Many many years ago, in the mid 80's, when my wife and I were about to get married, Dan Seals came out with the song 'Bop' and Kyla just loved that song. She would crank it up every time it would come on the radio. She loved music but didn't know a lot of artists but her favorites were Cheap Trick, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Dan Seals.

Dan Seals was also the very first concert that K99 ever got to introduce. It was at the UCCC in Greeley many years ago. We were all decked out in white tuxedos and introduced ourselves to Northern Colorado before the show.

It was on this date 30 years ago today that Dan topped the charts with 'Bop' so let's crank it up and celebrate this special anniversary today.
