When you are home alone and plug in a movie like Beaches, sometimes you want to keep that to yourself, now everyone may know.

Watching TV or Movies

Last week the Senate went and tinkered with privacy laws. Now making it a piece of cake to share your viewing habits. The bill, that passed quietly and unanimously, now allows companies like Netflix to share your data with third party companies. Netflix spent half a million dollars lobbying for the bill and similar issues to pass. So I guess this means you can expect more pop ups while watching your favorite movies, that is if Netflix can keep streaming, unlike they did over the Christmas holiday.

In borrowing an idea posted in an article by Stylebistro, I've come up with a list of movies that you won't be embarrassed if people learn you've watched them.

Non-Embarrassing Movies to Watch:

  • Breakfast at Tiffany's with Audrey Hepburn, this is saucy and ahead of its time
  • Independence Day with Will Smith
  • Saving Private Ryan
  • Shawshank Redemption starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman
  • The Fugitive (one of my all time favorites) with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones

Have fun being watched! :)
