Which Girl Scout Cookie is The Best? Todd’s Top 5 [POLL]
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Girl Scout cookies are officially on sale! Colorado's Girl Scout Cookie Program runs through Sunday, March 3rd. Booth sales in front of retail locations start on Friday, February 8th. Girl Scouts in Colorado sell 6 kinds of cookies: Thin Mints, Trefoils, Do-si-Dos, Tagaongs, Samoas, and savannah smiles. They are only $3.50 a box and the money goes to support Girl Scouts programs right here in Colorado. I have my favorites. I have listed my top 5 favorite Girl Scout cookies. Take the poll at the bottom of the page and tell us yours.5. Do-si-Dos
These are my wife's favorite. They are an oatmeal sandwich cookie with peanut butter in the middle. The only reason they are at the bottom of my list is because there are so many other good ones to choose from.
Trefoils are the shortbread cook. I call it the dunking cookie. They are perfect for dunking in milk or even chocolate milk. The dunking factor is why they top some folks list. I have them at #4. They are not too sweet. Not too fancy. Just right.
If you are a chocolate and peanut butter person, then you know Tagalongs. They are crispy cookie covered with peanut butter and dipped in chocolate. If I am in a peanut butter and chocolate mood, they are my favorite Girl Scout cookie.
2. Thin Mints
Without a doubt, Thin Mints are the most popular Girl Scout cookie. They are delicious mint chocolate cookie dipped in chocolate. I can eat them a sleeve at a time. I love them out of the freezer and keep a couple boxes in my freezer at home at all times. They almost topped my list, and probably should have. For now, they are at #2.
My wife doesn't like Samoas because they have coconut on them. I disagree with my wife. I think it is a perfect mix with the caramel and chocolate and crispy cookie. I can honestly eat them a box at a time. They are amazing and whoever came up with them should win some kind of award. Somoas are definitely my favorite Girl Scout cookie. If I were stranded on a desert island and could take only one cookie, it would likely be the Samoas. What's your favorite? Make sure to answer the poll below.
