Weld County Bans Buying and Selling Pot

Voters approved legalizing recreational marijuana in November. Now what? County Commissioners have banned the growing and selling of marijuana in unincorporated Weld County…due to the recent passage of Amendment 64. It’s is now up to the individual 31 cities and towns within Weld County to decide whether or not they want to adopt the rules of the county, or if they want to allow the sale and growing of pot.
“What we did this morning, on our third reading, and we’ve now made it part of our code, is to essentially opt out of the provisions of Amendment 64,” Weld County Commissioner Sean Conway.
