Here is a sneak peek at my interview with World War II veteran Sc2 Stan Johnson. The full interview for the Veterans History Project can can be seen Friday, March 27.

My Veterans History Project continues this week with United States Navy World War II veteran, Sc2 Stan Johnson. Stan spent a year at USNTC Bainbridge assigned to the USS Susquehanna.

Mr. Johnson also received an appointment to Annapolis but turned it down because he wanted to be a lawyer vs. an engineer. He is an amazing man who was also a PRCA rodeo announcer for 18 years, Boulder county D.A. and still host of a weekly radio show every Tuesday in Greeley.

If you or someone you know would like to share your story, I would love to sit down and record it for future generations to see as these videos will all be submitted to the Library of Congress as part of their Veterans History Project. Any veteran is elgibile and I will set interviews with the following priority:

  • Terminally ill from any conflict
  • World War II
  • Korean War
  • Vietnam War
  • All current/modern conflicts

To schedule an interview, just click here to send an email and I will respond as quickly as possible to get an interview scheduled. You can also call me in the studio at 800-500-2599 Monday through Friday between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Drew Bankston, a friend of K99 and owner of Star Painter Productions, is a professional videographer and I can't thank Drew enough for volunteering the countless hours it takes to do these videos.
