Two-Vehicle Crash in Loveland Claims One Life
Just after 6:00 yesterday evening, the Loveland Police Department received a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of East Highway 402 and Charlotte Ct. in Loveland.
The preliminary investigations have determined an adult man was driving a 1998 Dodge truck east on Hwy 402 and tried to turn north onto Charlotte Ct. The driver turned in front of a westbound semi-truck driving by Robert Ramirez, a 31-year-old male from Fort Collins. A passenger in the semi-truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the driver of the Dodge truck was pronounced deceased on scene.
Due to the severity of the crash, the Loveland Police Technical Crash Investigation team and the Larimer County Coroner’s Office are investigating. Hwy 402 was closed for several hours for the investigation.
The Larimer County Coroner’s office will release the name of the deceased. Loveland PD will release more information as it becomes available.
