Seriously. No joke. City elections are on the way for Berthoud and your vote does count so please get out and make a difference for your way of life.

The City of Berthoud will be voting in three new trustees and residents will also be voting on two initiatives during the municipal elections coming up on April 1, 2014. For those who are running or thinking of running, here are some signage rules for all to adhere to:

  • The size of any such sign(s) on a private residential lot does not exceed six (6) square feet per sign.
  • All such signs may be erected no sooner than sixty (60) days in advance of the election for which they are made
  • The signs are removed within five (5) days after the election for which they were made
  • The property owner upon whose land the sign is placed shall give permission for the placement of said signs and will be responsible for violations. Evidence of permission to install a sign may be required as the Town investigates compliance
  • All signs shall be located outside a street right-of-way. Signs shall not interfere with traffic signs or the sight distance triangle at intersections

The central polling place will be located in the Town Hall located at 328 Massachusetts Ave in downtown Berthoud. Polling hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For any questions please call the Town Clerk's Office at 970-532-2643.
