My wife and I love to travel. We have seen some really cool places over the last 20 years.  We have seen Stonehenge, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey in England.  We have been to Edinburgh Castle in Scotland.  We have seen the Sydney Opera House and walked over the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia. We have event been to Brazil for a vacation, but there are still a few places on my bucket list that I would love to visit some day. I've come up with my top 5.

    The Grand Canyon

I have been to 34 states in my lifetime, so this is hard to believe, but I have never been to the Grand Canyon.  Mom and Dad may have taken us there when we were too small to remember, but I would like to see it now. Yes, I do want to go out on the Skywalk, although I am not sure I could get my wife to go with me.

    The Roman Colosseum

The history of Rome has always intrigued me.  There are many places I would like to visit in the city, but the most iconic and must-see for me would be the Roman Colosseum. It is amazing to me that it is still standing after a couple thousand years.

    The Parthenon on the Acropolis

I have to be honest. I don't know much about Greek history, but I know I want to go to Greece.  It's another one of those places that has dozens of things I want to see. The most famous, of course, is the Parthenon. The columns on the Parthenon are probably the most copied feature in modern architecture. Even though it is falling down, I would love to see it.

    The Pyramids of Giza

The Great Pyramids used to be #1 on my list.  When I was a kid I wanted to be an archeologist. My dream was to explore the Pyramids of Giza. I wanted to find another King Tut.  I was into archeology way before Indiana Jones came along and it became kind of cool.  Then I found out you had to learn science to be an archeologist, so I changed my dreams.

    Machu Picchu

I didn't even know about Machu Picchu, Peru when I was younger, but now it's on the top of my list of places I would love to visit.  How was it built. Who lived there.  How did they live there?  I don't know, but I would like to find out.
