Todd Was Hosting The Simply Red Gala – When The Fire Trucks Arrived [PICTURES]

On Friday night I had the opportunity to host Simply Red to benefit Team Fort Collins.  It was a great night, where nearly everyone was draped in red, including Lamplighter Award Winner Dr. Kent Obermann and special guest, Mrs. Colorado Mina Muirhead.  We were right in the middle of the paddle-raiser to raise money to provide drug and alcohol prevention for youth in Fort Collins, when the fire alarm went off.

We had to clear the ballroom right in the middle of our event.  It turns out it wasn't a fire.  It was a broken water pipe.  The lobby of the Fort Collins Hilton was flooded with gallons of water.  Firefighters from the Poudre Fire Authority were able to get there quickly and help stop the flooding.

After all the excitement, we were able to return to the ballroom to wrap up our fundraiser.  Then we danced the night away to the Backline Band.
