I don't even know where to begin. First, I want to say THANK YOU! Brian wanted to set a goal of $100,000 for our 16th Annual 28 Hours of Hope and I thought he was crazy. Our wonderful listeners and sponsors raised over $78,000 last year to help fight child abuse in Northern Colorado. I was hoping we would beat that total this year. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine a total over $130,000, but that is exactly what happened.

There are so many people to thank. Thank you to every K99 listener who gave even a dollar. Thank you to every kid who emptied their piggy bank so kids wouldn't hurt anymore and then stopped by the radio station to give us hugs. Thank you to all of our sponsors who gave so generously. I was floored by their generosity. Thank you to every volunteer who answered a phone or brought us food or helped count change that was raised by so many groups. Thank you to all of our friends from Nashville who called to lend their support for such a wonderful cause and every guest we had in the studio who supported the cause. Thank you to Shelby who shared such a personal story with us and inspired so many. Thank you to Town Square Media for allowing us to do the 28 Hours of Hope every year. Thank you to our bosses George King and Pat Kelley for their unwavering support along with all of the employees in our building. Thank you to my wife Jenny and Jordan Dawson for taking all of these wonderful pictures. Jordan even stayed up all 28 hours with us. Thanks for that.

Finally, thank you to the agencies who inspired us to start the 28 Hours of Hope in the first place with their relentless battle against child abuse. The angels at a Kid's Place, Namaqua Center, and Larimer County Child Advocacy Center inspire us every day of the year.

Alright, one more thank you: Brian Gary, for being himself. Every year he bares his soul and handles more interviews than should be humanly possible. This year he even lost his voice because he left it all on the line. He is truly the best at what he does. I love that guy.
