Susan Moore, TSM

I think a lot of us of learned to love books thanks to our teachers. Mrs. Hall was my homeroom teacher in 5th and 6th grades at Bottineau Middle School in North Dakota.
She read a chapter of a book to us before afternoon classes began each day and
the stories she chose always spoke to my heart.  You may have met some of the same characters that Mrs. Hall introduced me to: Anne of Green Gables, Misty of Chincoteague, Black Beauty, and so many more compelling, strong, kind souls...ones who inspire.

All these years later, my *Kindle holds endless joy with almost 400 books on it to date.
I'm currently into Nelson DeMille and his masterful writing.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be following cocky former NYPD cop John Corey AND caring about him. I know, it's heavy stuff, but terrorism is so real in our lives.

Sometimes a girl needs lighter fair, so I took Alana Lynn's suggestion and giggled through Has Anyone Seen My Pants? by Sarah Colonna. She was a writer for Chelsea Handler, who I've also read.

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins is being made into a movie starring Emily Blunt. Diana Gabaldon, author of the bestselling series, Outlander, will be in GREELEY August 20, 2016...sadly the event for High Plains Library is SOLD OUT. Luckily I can be swept up in her magical time travels and still be back in time for work the next day.

So, what are YOU reading these hot summer days? I'd love to know in comments below. *Kindle...another cherished gift from my bestie...Kitty...
