In light of all the acts of violence in the news lately, I wanted to take a moment to say "thank you" to you for all you do for me. I cannot imagine what is like trying to do your job in today's climate of hostility. You have to be nervous every time you stop someone not knowing what their mind set is and what they are capable of doing. It is a scary world out there. You do all of this because it is your job and you take it seriously. You took a vow to serve and protect me and I thank you for it.

Thank you for being there if a business is robbed. Thank you for being there to help a child who has been victimized. Thank you for responding to disturbances and the unknown. Thank you for keeping drunk drivers off our roads and trying to keep idiot drivers from hurting us. Thank you for keeping an eye on our schools and kids. Thank you for responding to accidents and attending to the people there. Thank you being there when we need you for all the unpleasant situations and dealing with the craziness we put you through as a community. Thank you for all the charity work you do and the support you show your community.

I just wanted you to know that in spite of what you may hear on the news that there are lots of folks out here who love you and thank you for what you do for us. I know that I speak for many of us when I say thank you and stay safe out there. We appreciate you.

Sincerely,
Brian Gary
