There is No Love Like the Love You Share With Your Pets

It is getting to be twilight time for the dogs at my home. We have two family members, Oprah and Chevy, who are starting to show the signs of age big time. We love our pets with all of our hearts but we all know that they are just with us for a limited time so we need to soak in all the joy while we can. That is the way we should look at life everyday.

Pets bring us some much joy and unconditional love. They are there for us when we are happy, sad, mad or melancholy and can make us feel better or just comforted and not alone. They will never know how special they really are to us. I cannot thank my pug Oprah enough for all the happiness she has brought my wife and the rest of the family over the years. They have been best friends for years and there is no one on this planet my wife leans on more than that little chunk of love.

Oprah was basking in the sun in front of the stove the other day which is one of her favorite activities and my wife had to snap this picture. We think she looks just gorgeous. I love my kids and grandkids but those furry little devils fill a spot that nothing else can. Love you animals while they are here and let them know it. They sure love you.
