The picturesque Stanley Hotel in Estes Park is trying to find the perfect sculpture to serve as the centerpiece for their internationally renowned hedge maze and they are asking for the public's help to do so.

Professional sculptors from all over the country are invited to submit their ideas for the new sculpture, which will complete the final phase of the maze project. The hedge maze, which is located in the front lawn of the iconic hotel, officially opened this past June, and was modeled after a design that was selected as a result of holding an international competition.

Sculptors have until November 6, 2015 to submit their own, original ideas for the design of the sculpture. There are no restrictions when it comes to the design in terms of content– artists have free reign to show off their creative abilities to the fullest. The winning artist will have a budget of $50,000 to work with in order to create the brand new, permanent display to be featured at the Stanley. A sculpture review team will be choosing three finalists on November 18. These three finalists will then present a small-scale model to the review team on March 9, 2016 at the historic hotel, and the contest winner will be announced on this same day. The winning piece of art will be installed in September of 2016.
