It's been a hot summer in Colorado throughout the months of June and July. But it looks like the month of August is going to surprise us with some actual cold weather.

According to KDVR Channel 7, it looks like we can definitely expect to have an August that will feel more like fall.

The drastic change in temperatures could affect eastern Colorado the most, including Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland.

The website Time and Date also agrees with the statement from Denver 7, as their 14 day forecast doesn't have temperatures getting out of the 70's after Saturday, August 5th.

Will temperatures warm up again as we close out the month? The possibility exists, but they also say the cooler temps could stick around for part of the state.

So break out the sweaters and drink your pumpkin latte, as we could experience fall a month early here in the state of Colorado!
