Fort Collins is set to host the 19th Annual Cemetery Stroll this month.

The cemetery stroll is set for September 20, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins. The stroll will begin both at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Why take the cemetery stroll? It's a historic re-enactment of sorts, documenting some of the city's most infamous characters. Volunteers stand by notable graves and tell the story of that lots resident.

The theme this year, yes, there is a theme every year will be in honor of Lieutenant Colonel William Collins, the namesake of Fort Collins. To honor the life and trials of the Colonel and other servicemen in one of the nation's bloodiest battles, the Civil War, Union and Confederate costumed soldiers will be graveside.

Tickets are available at the Senior Center or the Grandview office in Fort Collins, six dollars for adults and three dollars for children. Hot dogs and Hamburgers will be provided by MacKenzie Place before the stroll and golf carts will be provided for those who might have difficulties walking.
