A nasty storm moved through Northern Colorado a week ago Saturday leaving hail piled up like snow, broken tree limbs and flooding. Town of Windsor employees have been very busy ever since, cleaning up the mess. Here is what those employees have been up to over the past week:
At approximately 2:30 PM on Saturday, August 3rd the National Weather Service began issuing statements warning Northern Colorado residents that severe storms and tornadoes were on their way. This time the projections were right on.
The storms rolling across Larimer County this afternoon are packing quite a wallop. We're hearing reports of flooding, road closures and mudslides in Rist Canyon and in the High Park burn area. As well as scary news of ten people getting struck by lightning in Wellington.
The Weld County Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with local communities, will conduct a test of the emergency warning siren system in Weld County at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 18th, 2013.
