The bugs are coming back, the sun is getting heated up, the flowers are starting to bloom and all the signs of spring have arrived. One of the things that many people look forward to around this time of the year is the opening of baseball season.
With less than 50 days until Opening Day, Rockies fans are starting to get excited for baseball to be back. But before the season gets into full swing, several Colorado players have the honor of participating in the World Baseball Classic.
Trevor Story, the 23-year-old rookie shortstop for the Colorado Rockies, is certainly getting into the swing of the new season, making history on Wednesday as being the first player in baseball to hit a home run in each of his first three Major League games.
"Let me root, root, root for the home team, if they don't win it's a shame." I know it's easy to pick on the Rockies, heck, they have finished either 4th or 5th in the NL West for the last five seasons.
As we are all riding high on the championship wave thanks to the Broncos, I couldn't help but start to wonder about what is next. Who will be the next ones to hoist a championship trophy? I remember how cool it felt when the Avalanche were winning titles and how awesome that was.
