Stranded Teens Burn Snowmobile to Survive Blizzard

Keeping a radio station on the air during bad winter weather in Colorado can be a tall order.  Our radio transmitter and tower are located on remote hilltops and moutainous terrain.  Sometimes we have to use a snowmobile for the last few miles of the trek.  That’s why hearing about these three teenagers who got stuck in a blizzard in Moffat County struck a chord with me.  I’m always afraid of getting stranded in the snow.  Click here to read 9News story of how the boys burned one of their snowmobiles to survive the blizzard
