A Snowboarder was killed in an avalanche Saturday on Cameron Pass. Officials say the person’s body was discovered in the Paradise Bowl on the west side of the Pass.

Two people were caught in the slide, with one flown to the Medical Center of the Rockies late Saturday for serious injuries. A body was recovered Sunday. No names were released.

K99 listener, Nicki Sartor, was in the area at the time of the avalanche and shared these photos with us. She was also able to lead the rescuers to the avalanche victims by using her photographs. Thanks Nicki. You may have saved a life.
